Yes, Oh My Skin is a nurse and dermal clinician-led clinic — our team is made up of qualified professionals, not just beauty therapists, so you’re in safe, experienced hands. You can read more about the crew on our About page.

HIFU Skin Tightening

What is HIFU and how does it work?

HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) is a non-surgical treatment that lifts, firms and tightens your skin by getting your body to make more collagen. It works under the surface, so results keep building for weeks after your appointment.

HIFU doesn’t really hurt — most people feel a warm, tingling sensation rather than pain, and there’s no anaesthesia involved. You’ll be back to your normal day straight after.

With HIFU, just one session gives you visible lifting and tightening, and results keep improving for up to 3 months as your collagen rebuilds. After that, we usually recommend a top-up every 6–12 months. Got questions about your specific goals? Contact us and we’ll chat it through.

HIFU works beautifully on the face, jawline and neck, and it’s also great on areas of the body with excess or sagging skin. If you’re after full-body results, take a look at our body contouring options too.

You’ll find HIFU at all four Oh My Skin clinics — Maitland, Warners Bay, Erina and Gunnedah. We run a few different technologies (7D, 8D and MPT12), so check our locations page to see what’s on offer near you before you book.

To prepare for a HIFU appointment, come with a clean face and no makeup, wear a loose top that isn’t white (just in case of any marking), and steer clear of retinol or salicylic acid for 72 hours beforehand. We’ll email you a full precare list ahead of time so nothing’s a surprise.

After HIFU, a bit of redness or warmth is totally normal and settles within a day. Just skip the sauna, hot showers and hard workouts for 24–48 hours, drink plenty of water, and keep your SPF up. Any concerns after your treatment? Reach out any time.

Advance Skin Treatments

What are advanced skin treatments?

Advanced skin treatments include chemical peels, BioRePeel and other professional-grade rejuvenation treatments — the kind of results-driven skincare that goes well beyond what you can do at home.

Most advanced skin treatments can be tailored to suit sensitive skin, but we always recommend a quick chat first so we can pick the right treatment and strength for you. Get in touch and we’ll talk you through your options.

For advanced skin treatments, every 4–6 weeks tends to work best — it gives your skin time to fully renew between sessions while still building on your results.

Advanced skin treatments are available across all four Oh My Skin clinics — Maitland, Warners Bay, Erina and Gunnedah. Peel strengths and BioRePeel options can vary slightly by location, so check our locations page before booking.

To prepare for an advanced skin treatment, skip retinol, AHA/BHA and vitamin C for 3–5 days beforehand, hold off on waxing or other exfoliating treatments, and stay out of the sun in the lead-up.

After an advanced skin treatment, daily SPF is non-negotiable while your skin renews. Stick to a gentle, fragrance-free routine, hold off on actives for a few days, and let any flaking happen naturally — no picking! If you’re ever unsure, just ask us.

Skin Treatments

What skin treatments does Oh My Skin offer?

Oh My Skin’s skin treatments include facials, peels and rejuvenation treatments designed to boost tone, texture, hydration and clarity, all tailored to whatever your skin needs most.

Yes, several of Oh My Skin’s treatments are great for congested or acne-prone skin, helping calm breakouts and support clearer skin over a few sessions.

Most skin treatments take between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on what you’re having done.

All four Oh My Skin clinics — Maitland, Warners Bay, Erina and Gunnedah — offer skin treatments, and same-day appointments are sometimes available too. Check our locations page or give your nearest clinic a call.

To prepare for a skin treatment, come with clean, makeup-free skin if you can, and try to avoid other treatments like waxing or peels in the same week.

After a skin treatment, give it a few hours before putting makeup back on, keep your skincare gentle and fragrance-free for a day or two, and don’t forget your SPF.

Laser Treatments

What laser treatments are available at Oh My Skin?

Oh My Skin’s laser treatments use targeted light energy to boost collagen and improve pigmentation, texture and overall skin tone. Pair it with advanced skin treatments for even better results.

Laser treatment safety depends on the device and your skin tone, so we always start with a quick consultation to make sure it’s the right fit and set up safely. Book a consult to get started.

Most people need a few laser sessions spaced several weeks apart, since skin renewal and collagen production take time to really show.

Laser treatments are available across Maitland, Warners Bay, Erina and Gunnedah. Equipment can vary a little by location, so check our locations page before you lock in a booking.

Before a laser treatment, stay out of the sun, skip the self-tanner, and pause retinol or other actives in the days beforehand.

After a laser treatment, keep out of direct sun and apply SPF daily, avoid hot showers, saunas and hard workouts for 24 hours, and keep the area moisturised without picking at any flaking skin.

Tixel

What is Tixel and how is it different from laser treatments?

Tixel uses heated titanium tips instead of laser light to create tiny channels in the skin, kickstarting collagen renewal — without the extra heat and downtime that comes with some laser treatments.

Tixel treats fine lines, uneven texture, acne scarring and overall tone, and it works on both the face and body.

Tixel isn’t painful — we apply numbing cream beforehand, so most people just feel a warm, prickly sensation rather than any real pain.

Tixel is offered across all four Oh My Skin clinics — Maitland, Warners Bay, Erina and Gunnedah — though the equipment does move between locations on a schedule, so check our locations page or give us a call to confirm availability.

Not much prep is needed for a Tixel appointment — we handle the numbing cream on the day. Just avoid active skincare ingredients for a few days beforehand if your clinician advises it.

After Tixel, a bit of redness or flaking for 2–5 days is completely normal. Keep your SPF on, stick to gentle skincare, and resist the urge to pick at any flaking. Ask us if anything feels off.

CO₂ Laser

What is CO₂ laser treatment used for?

CO₂ laser is a resurfacing treatment that removes damaged outer skin layers and stimulates deep collagen renewal — brilliant for scarring, wrinkles, pigmentation and overall texture.

Yes, CO₂ laser is one of the most effective treatments Oh My Skin offers for improving the look of acne scarring, thanks to the deep collagen remodelling it triggers.

With CO₂ laser, many clients see great results from just one session, though some concerns benefit from a short course spaced a few weeks apart.

CO₂ laser is available across Maitland, Warners Bay, Erina and Gunnedah. Equipment can vary by clinic, so double-check on our locations page before booking.

To prepare for CO₂ laser, stay out of the sun, pause retinol and other actives as directed, and use any prep products we give you in the lead-up to your session.

After CO₂ laser, redness, peeling or mild swelling for up to a week is completely normal as your skin heals. Strict sun protection and daily SPF are a must, and hold off on makeup until you’re fully healed. Get in touch if you need guidance along the way.

Body Contouring

What body contouring treatments does Oh My Skin offer?

Body contouring at Oh My Skin includes Ultrasonic Cavitation, Lux Sculpt (EMS muscle toning), RF skin tightening and Lipocel, used on their own or combined to reduce fat, tighten skin and tone up without surgery.

Yes, Oh My Skin’s EMS, RF and Cavitation Combo lets you get Lux Sculpt, RF and Cavitation on the stomach all in one appointment.

Most body contouring treatments work best over 4–8 sessions, spaced days to weeks apart depending on your goals.

Body contouring isn’t painful — you might feel warmth (RF), muscle contractions (Lux Sculpt) or a bit of pressure (Cavitation/Lipocel), but there’s no anaesthesia needed for any of it.

Body contouring is available across Maitland, Warners Bay, Erina and Gunnedah. The EMS, RF & Cavitation Combo might only be at select clinics, so check our locations page or give your nearest clinic a call.

To prepare for body contouring, drink 1–1.5L of water beforehand, wear something loose and comfortable, and skip a big meal right before your session.

After body contouring, keep the water flowing to help your body do its thing, and a walk afterwards helps with lymphatic drainage. Best to skip alcohol, hot showers and saunas for the next 24 hours. Any questions? We’re here to help.

Offers

What offers does Oh My Skin currently have?

Oh My Skin runs limited-time promos and specials across treatments like HIFU and body contouring pretty regularly, so it’s worth checking back — deals do rotate and they don’t last forever.

To redeem a promo or special offer, you can usually book straight through Fresha by selecting the offer, or just mention it when you book with your clinic directly.

Offer availability can vary by clinic, so it’s best to confirm with your nearest Oh My Skin location — Maitland, Warners Bay, Erina and Gunnedah — before booking, just to make sure the deal applies where you’re headed.

[Need to confirm this one with Becky before it goes live — no clear policy yet on stacking offers and vouchers.] In the meantime, contact us to check.

Yes, you can purchase a gift voucher for Oh My Skin online, and it can be used toward any treatment at any of our clinics, separately from whatever promos are running.
